The term ‘eSIM’ means an embedded SIM. Unlike a physical SIM card, an eSIM is already built into a mobile device so they work like a traditional SIM for calls and internet once activated.
How to set up your eSIM
You will need a WiFi or a mobile data connection to download your eSIM.
To install an eSIM profile onto your device you can either:
Use another device to display the QR code. You then need to scan the QR via the eSIM setup wizard on your device to download the eSIM profile
The activation code can be entered manually (or copy and pasted) into the device’s eSIM setup wizard
We will send both the QR code and activation code to you in the same email once we have processed your order.
What is an eSIM QR code?
The eSIM QR code is a digital representation of your embedded SIM, containing all the necessary information to activate an eSIM plan on your compatible device.
To set up your eSIM using the QR code you will need to scan it with your phone’s camera via the eSIM setup wizard on your device.
Why use an eSIM?
The main advantage of an eSIM is the quick and easy set-up process; once you receive your eSIM QR code your service is live and ready to be used.
With no need to send out a physical SIM an eSIM also helps reduce emissions.

Can you use dual SIM with an eSIM?
Yes, as long as your phone is dual SIM compatible, you can have an eSIM and a physical SIM card.
Most devices allow you to download and store several eSIM profiles. However, at the moment, most devices only allow one to be enabled at a given time.
Can I use my eSIM on more than one device?
No, an eSIM can only be active in one device at a time as each device must have their own unique eSIM profile.
What if I accidentally delete my eSIM profile?
Please contact us and we can email a SIM swap QR code to move your number to your new phone.
What if I change my phone?
We can send a SIM swap QR code to download a new eSIM profile to your device.
Can I move from a physical SIM to an eSIM? Or eSIM to physical SIM?
Yes, physical SIMs can be swapped onto eSIMs and vice versa! Please contact us and we can email you a SIM swap QR code or post out a physical SIM to you.
Does 5G work with eSIMs?
Yes, our eSIMs are 5G enabled.
Can I activate my eSIM while I’m abroad?
Your eSIM must be activated in the UK.
When will my charges and bundle allowances start?
Once we email your QR code your services are live and ready to be used. Charges will start from the day your QR code is sent to you.
Please note when you first start your service your charges and allowances are pro-rated depending on when your service starts in the month. Charges and bundle allowances run from 1st day of the month to the last day of the month.
