From February 1st, 2027, the UK will no longer supply an internet connection to its copper network which connects to legacy technology. This includes landline phones, older style broadband (non-fibre), older home technology like security systems and more.
If your home is not connected with copper-based cables once the Big Switch Off has taken place, you will no longer have an internet connection or be able to use your landline if you still have one.
