The Phone Co-op, one of the largest employers in Chipping Norton, plans to relocate to the centre of the town helping to secure over 60 jobs and providing a major boost to local businesses. The fast-growing co-operative, which started in 1998 and now has over 30,000 customers, is currently based at Elmsfield Industrial Estate on the edge of town and also has operations in Manchester. The business plans to move to 19 Market Place adjacent to the HSBC bank and in the process will be investing in a prominent building which is currently standing empty.
